Regina-Mareta Soonsein (born 1991) graduated field of illustration at Tartu Art College (2015) and painting department at Pallas University of Applied Sciences (2019). Her interest in drawing and line has led her to printmaking. In last years she has captured the attention of public with her linocuts and has shown her works in group and personal exhibitions in Estonia and abroad. In her Linocut prints Regina-Mareta plays with figural and organical matter's plastical abilities by twisting and abstracting them. The focus lies in forms materializing through light which creates an optical illusion of universal code, where human and the surrounding world is in constant endless dialogue. Soonsein uses lino cut techuiqe as a monumental media binding together printmaking and painting.
